The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is inviting 200 university students worldwide to participate in a Japan Study Program from 7 Mar 2012 to 19 Mar 2012, to be held in Tokyo and Tohoku region of Japan.
The objectives are to:
To help university students in other countries to understand the current status of universities and communities in the Tohoku region correctly.
To help those students to recognize the value of studying and experiences in Japan in the revival processes from the extraordinarily large-scale disaster and to understand that the Japanese people are making great efforts to revive Japan with pride and vigor even after the catastrophic disaster.
3 students will be selected from Singapore to participate in this program.
Participants should be in their 20s;
Participants should have good communication skills, and able to help promote studying in Japan;
Participants will be provided with round-trip airfare, accommodations, transportation and meals while in Japan.

JUGAS Scholarships Now Open for Application

We are pleased to inform you that JUGAS is now offering the following scholarships to deserving students to further their studies in Japan.
JUGAS/Nagoya University Scholarship
Currently into its second year, this joint initiative between JUGAS, through the JUGAS Education and Cultural Exchange Fund, and Nagoya University, offers high potential Singaporeans an opportunity to study at Nagoya University under the Global 30 Undergraduate International Programs. There are in total 5 different programs offered by 9 different schools available for applicants to choose from. School term starts in October 2012. The 2 scholarship recipients for 2011 have recently departed for Nagoya to start their respective courses in Automotive Engineering and Chemistry at the university.
A joint initiative between JUGAS and Singapore Ishizaki Industries Pte Ltd, this scholarship enables ONE deserving Singaporean student per year with potential and good academic records to undertake undergraduate studies in Asian Studies at the Kwansei Gakuin University School of International Studies. School term starts in April 2012.
